John W. BLISCHAK was born in Steubenville, Ohio and moved to Phoenix, Arizona from Cleveland, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University Of Akron in 1972 and thereafter obtained a Juris Doctorate in Law from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1975.

With his educational background in law and accounting, Mr. BLISCHAK accepted a position in 1975 with the Federal Bureau of Investigation [FBI] as a Special Agent and Principal Legal Advisor to investigate and assist in prosecution of organized white collar crime. In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. BLISCHAK supervised a uniform course of legal instruction for field agents, researched issues concerning the civil liability of field agents and acted as local FBI counsel for the Phoenix, Arizona Division.

In 1984, Mr. BLISCHAK left the FBI and assumed a position as a Deputy County Attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office to prosecute white collar crime. This position included a significant amount of time in trial with emphasis on state criminal, tax, securities, real estate and bankruptcy issues.

In 1987, Mr. BLISCHAK left government service and has since been in private practice in his own firm. Mr. BLISCHAK has represented numerous defendants in criminal proceedings of all types, including but not limited to sexual assaults, fraudulent schemes, thefts, DUI’s, and other related criminal matters. Mr. BLISCHAK practices in federal court, in all state courts and surrounding justice and city courts

Mr. BLISCHAK, in addition to his credentials as an attorney, has since 1981 been licensed by the State of Arizona as a Certified Public Accountant. While Mr. BLISCHAK does not hold himself out professionally as an accountant or perform audits, his background in the principles of accounting, finance and taxes is of immeasurable benefit to business clients. Mr. BLISCHAK is additionally experienced in the areas of asset protection, estate planning, limited liability companies, personal injury and select domestic relations matters.

Mr. BLISCHAK is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Arizona. He is also a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association, Arizona Attorney’s for Criminal Justice, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Former Agents of the FBI.
